The new Government Resolution (GR) first issued on August 5 and later revived on August 14 have imposed age caps and other restrictions over the students seeking to reside at the tribal hostels in the state. The GR has also decreased the allowances that the students get to support their higher education, enraging the students further.
Following reports that several students at three Ashram schools in Amravati district suffered food poisoning, activists have again questioned the need of this central kitchen ‘experiment’ which involves transporting food from long distances instead of preparing it locally.

भारताच्या इतिहासात यापूर्वीदेखील केंद्रात अनेक मंत्र्यांना राजीनामा द्यावा लागला आहे. वारंवार मागणी होऊनही धर्मेंद्र प्रधान मात्र खुर्ची सोडायला तयार नव्हते. शेवटी त्यांना ती सोडावी लागली, हा भाग वेगळा.
निवडणुका डोळ्यांसमोर ठेवून सवंग आर्थिक योजना जाहीर करण्याचा मोह केंद्राने आवरला पाहिजे. येत्या काही महिन्यांत उत्तर प्रदेश आणि पंजाबमध्ये निवडणुका होणार असून, त्या पार्श्वभूमीवर पुन्हा एकदा रेवडी संस्कृतीचा उदय होणार नाही, अशी अपेक्षा करू या.
