Migrant worker from UP shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, NDTV reports

NDTV reports that a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh was today shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. The area has been cordoned off. "Terrorists fired upon one labourer identified as Mukesh of U.P in Tumchi Nowpora area of Pulwama, who later on succumbed to his injuries. Area cordoned off," Kashmir Zone Police said on X, as per the report. It mentions that this was the second terror attack in Pulwama in the past 24 hours. Security forces have intensified the checking of vehicles and pedestrians in Pulwama and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Read the full report here.

 

Death toll in Andhra tain collision rises to 14, The Hindu

 

Two trains collided on the Howrah-Chennai line in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening, The Hindu reported, leaving more than 10 dead and many injured. The report says that the Palasa passenger was going on the middle line and is said to have slowed down. In the meantime, the Rayagada passenger overshot the signal and hit the Palasa passenger from behind. Three coaches of the Palasa passenger and the locomotive and two coaches of the Rayagada passenger were badly damaged and capsized and thrown beside the track. Fierce clashes in Gaza as Israeli forces expand ground offensive: Reuters

Palestinians in Gaza reported fierce air and artillery strikes early on Monday as Israeli troops backed by tanks pressed into the enclave with a ground assault. Reuters reports Israel's military said it had struck over 600 militant targets over the past few days. Palestinian civilians are in dire need of fuel, food and clean water as the conflict enters its fourth week, the report adds. Israeli air strikes hit areas near Gaza's Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals. Times Of India: NCP MLA Prakash Solanke's house in Maharashtra's Beed set on fire

Some agitatorss protesting for Maratha reservation set the residence of NCP MLA Prakash Solanke in Beed's Majalgaon area, Times of India reports. The agitaton has intensified since Manoj Jarange sat on an indefinite fast from October 25, as part of the second phase of the protest, the report adds. 12 dead after Light Aircraft crashes in Amazon Jungle, TeleSUR

 

Twelve people died on Sunday when the small plane they were traveling in crashed into the Brazilian Amazon jungle. TeleSUR reports that the incident occurred in the state of Acre, bordering Peru and Bolivia. The 10 passengers, the pilot and the co-pilot were charred to death when the plane exploded and fell into the jungle. It was reported that the "Caravan" model aircraft crashed in an area that was difficult to access, making it difficult for emergency crews to work. Read the full report here.
