India attends Trump’s Gaza board meeting as observer, Indian Express

As US President Donald Trump on Thursday convened a meeting of his Board of Peace focusing on reconstruction of Gaza and mobilising an international stabilisation force, Indian Express reports that India joined as an observer, represented by Namgya C Khampa, Deputy Chief of Mission in Washington DC. The report's sources said a call was taken to be part of the board meeting as an observer to the process that Trump calls the Gaza peace plan. India is one of the dozen countries opting to participate as observers without joining the board. The report says that others include Germany, Italy, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Hindustan Times reports that India on Friday formally joined Pax Silica – United States' flagship effort on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and supply chain security, advancing new economic security consensus among allies and trusted partners. India and the US signed the Pax Silica declaration - a move described as a “historic milestone” - on the sidelines of the Global AI Impact Summit being held in New Delhi. Al Jazeera: Three aid workers killed, 4 wounded in RSF drone attack in Sudan’s Kordofan

At least three aid workers have been killed and four others wounded in a drone attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on an aid convoy in Sudan’s South Kordofan state, Al Jazeera reports according to the Sudan Doctors Network, in the latest carnage against civilians caught up in the nation’s brutal civil war. The convoy of trucks carrying food and humanitarian supplies was targeted by the RSF, and its ally, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North, while travelling through the Kartala area on its way to the cities of Kadugli and Dilling on Thursday. Youth Congress workers protest at AI Summit over India-US deal, NDTV reports

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 saw several top CEOs speak about the revolutionary jump in technology - and also some angry people who took their shirts off in protest against the India-US framework agreement on trade, NDTV reports.People at one of the halls at the AI Summit venue said they heard a crowd shouting slogans outside. When they went to check what happened, a group of shirtless men from the Youth Congress faced them. Trump says world has 10 days to see if Iran agrees deal or 'bad things happen', BBC reports

 

US President Donald Trump says the world will find out "over the next, probably, 10 days" whether the US will reach a deal with Iran or take military action. BBC reports that at the first meeting of his Board of Peace in Washington DC, Trump said of negotiations with the Islamic Republic about its nuclear programme: "We have to make a meaningful deal otherwise bad things happen."
