Gangster Anmol Bishnoi lands in India, arrested by NIA: Indian Express

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested gangster Anmol Bishnoi, who is wanted as the ‘main plotter’ in the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique in October last year, Indian Express reports. Anmol, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was arrested in Delhi after being deported from the US, where his asylum application was turned down by a Louisiana court. NIA spokesperson said that Anmol continued to run terror syndicates and execute terrorist acts from the US for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, using its operatives on the ground. Supreme Court grants interim bail to activist Jyoti Jagtap, The Hindu

 

The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to activist Jyoti Jagtap, who was arrested in 2020 in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case, The Hindu reports. A bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and Satish Chandra Sharma passed the order after senior advocate Aparna Bhat, appearing for Ms. Jagtap, said she has been in custody for over five years. Advocate Karishma Maria also appeared for Jagtap. The High Court had said Ms. Jagtap was an active member of the Kabir Kala Manch (KKM) group, which during its stage play at the Elgar Parishad conclave held in Pune on December 31, 2017 gave not only aggressive, but also highly provocative slogans, the report adds. Al Jazeera: 14 killed in Israeli air attacks in Lebanon

One person was killed and many were wounded in Israeli attack targeting a vehicle in southern Lebanon, Al Jazeera reports. Another Israeli air attack yesterday on a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon killed 13 people. Israel’s military also  carried out several air strikes in parts of southern Gaza’s Rafah and Khan Younis, the report adds. srael has carried out 393 attacks in violation of the latest ceasefire, killing 279 people and wounding 652, Gaza’s Government Media Office says. Hindustan Times live on Bihar govt formation

JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar is named the leader of NDA legislature party, at the ongoing NDA meeting in Patna Vidhan Sabha, Hindustan Times reports. BJP leader Samrat Choudhary was elected as the leader of the party legislature, while Vijay Sinha was elected as the deputy leader. The oath-taking ceremony of the new NDA Bihar government will take place in the iconic Gandhi Maidan on Thursday, November 20, preparations for which are in full swing. The current Bihar assembly’s term ends on November 22, and the 18th assembly will be constituted on or before that date, the report mentions. Read the full report here.

 

Zelensky says nine killed in Russian attack on western Ukraine, BBC reports

 

Nine people have been killed and dozens more wounded in a Russian attack on the western city of Ternopil, Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky has said. BBC reports as per Zelensky that nine-storey blocks of flats were hit in the strikes, as Russia fired more than 470 drones and 47 missiles at Ukraine overnight in a "brazen attack". Three districts of Ukraine's second city, Kharkiv, were also hit by a massive drone attack which injured more than 30 people, including children. Photos posted online showed buildings and cars ablaze, the report adds. Read the full report here.
