Pulwama home of doctor who ‘drove’ car that exploded near Red Fort razed, Indian Express
The family home of Dr Umar Nabi, who allegedly drove the car that exploded outside the Red Fort Metro station in Delhi on Monday, was razed in his hometown of Koil in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Indian Express reports. Most of Nabi’s family, including his parents, brother and sister-in-law, lived in the two-storey house that had a small yard in front. Officials in Pulwama said on Friday morning that the house in Koil was blown up overnight after moving the residents out, as per the report. While houses of those accused in militancy-related cases have been previously attached under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), prior to Friday, the only time houses of accused were razed in Kashmir was in the aftermath of April’s terror attack in Pahalgam. NDTV live report on Bihar election results: NDA heads for landslide win

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar appeared to be headed towards a thumping victory and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar seemed prepared to secure a fifth consecutive term, NDTV reports, as latest trends showed the alliance has secured 197 of the 243 seats in the state. Kumar is the state's longest-serving chief minister, the report mentions. At 1 pm, the trends showed the NDA had surpassed its 2020 mark, when it secured 122 seats. The Mahagathbandhan, on the other hand, was leading in merely 40 seats while Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party failed to open an account. Read the full report here.
Germany agrees new military service plan to boost troop numbers, BBC reports
Germany's coalition government has agreed a new military service plan to boost troop numbers following months of wrangling between political forces, BBC reports. The new military service plan will mandate all 18-year-old men to fill out a questionnaire on their suitability to serve and, from 2027, to undergo medical screening. The report says the decision comes as Berlin aims to create Europe's strongest conventional army. Read the full report here.
Lucknow journalist chased, threatened: Hindustan Times
Lucknow Police has registered a case against half a dozen unidentified individuals for allegedly attacking a local journalist here, an official said on Friday. Hindustan Times reports that in his complaint, Mukesh Dwivedi, a local journalist and a resident of Mohanlalganj, said that he, along with Himanshu Rawat, was travelling in an SUV after taking it from a service centre at around 5.40 pm on Thursday. This was when two other SUVs and another car attempted to hit his vehicle, the report adds. Read the full report here.
The Straits Times: Rohingya deaths off Malaysia’s Langkawi raise fears

The deaths of 28 refugees off Malaysia’s Langkawi Island on November 7 have raised fears of renewed Rohingya voyages across the dangerous Andaman Sea, The Straits Times reports, as conflict and aid cuts push more families to flee. Malaysian officials say 217 Rohingya and other Myanmar nationals have already reached Langkawi this year, a sharp shift after minimal landings over the last two years. As per the report, Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who visited Langkawi on Nov 12, said the island remains a popular landing destination for refugees, and the tragedy highlighted how humanitarian conditions have sharply worsened.
