Karnataka High Court stays probe against Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in land grab case: Indian Express
Karnataka High Court News: Observing that he cannot be drawn into the web of crime, the Karnataka High Court has stayed stay further investigation against spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who was named as an accused in an FIR alleging encroachment of public land in Bengaluru. Indian Express reports Justice M Nagaprasanna was hearing a petition filed by the spiritual leader seeking quashing of the FIR and said that halting the probe at this stage would run contrary to earlier directions of a division bench that had ordered action against encroachers of public land. Chinese Communist Party delegation meets BJP, RSS, Hindustan Times

A delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met senior functionaries of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in New Delhi on Tuesday, Hindustan Times reports, a day after holding discussions with senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters. While BJP leaders maintained that the two sides discussed ways to enhance dialogue, the Congress party questioned the timing and intent of the meeting, alleging that China laid claim to the Shaksgam Valley in Jammu and Kashmir within hours of the closed-door interaction at the BJP headquarters. Al Jazeera: US senators introduce bill to stop Trump seizing Greenland
Al Jazeera reports that Senators in the United States have introduced a bill aimed at preventing President Donald Trump from seizing NATO territory, including the self-governing Danish island of Greenland. The bipartisan NATO Unity Protection Act introduced on Tuesday would bar the Department of Defense and Department of State from using funds to “blockade, occupy, annex or otherwise assert control” over the territory of any other NATO member state. The report says that the bill, authored by Democrat Jeanne Shaheen and Republican Lisa Murkowski, comes amid growing concerns over Trump’s repeated insistence that Greenland. Madhya Pradesh school demolished over 'illegal Madrasa' allegations, NDTV reports
In Madhya Pradesh, where more than 83,000 government schools run classes from Class 1 to 8, over 200 function without a building, nearly 2,000 have no boys' toilets, and 1,700 lack girls' toilets, the demolition of a school building in a remote village has triggered shock and outrage, NDTV reports. The report says this was especially because the action followed rumours and allegations that the structure was an "illegal madrasa". The controversy unfolded in Dhaba village of Bhainsdehi in Betul district, where Abdul Naeem was constructing a small private school at his own expense, investing around Rs 20 lakh. At least 22 dead as crane collapses onto train in Thailand, BBC reports

At least 22 people have been killed after a construction crane fell on top of a moving train carriage at around 09:00 local time, BBC reports. According to official records, the train, which was carrying at least 195 people, had been travelling from Bangkok to a province in northeastern Thailand. At least 80 people were wounded from the collision, BBC reports, with a one-year-old being the youngest injured. Read the full report here.
