India seeks fare data from airlines, NDTV reports
India's government has asked IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and Akasa to provide data on average fares charged, NDTV reports as per a document shows, as antitrust authorities investigate unprecedented travel disruptions in December. Pilot shortages at IndiGo, which dominates India's aviation market with a 65 percent share, forced it to cancel about 4,500 flights last month, stranding thousands of passengers and disrupting air travel nationwide. Devendra Fadnavis orders immediate exit as BJP ties up with Congress, AIMIM: Indian Express

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday directed the BJP to break its alliances with the Congress and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in two municipal councils, saying the tie-ups were “not acceptable”. Indian Express reports that in Ambernath, in a bid to keep the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena out of power, the BJP formed an Ambernath Vikas Aghadi. The alliance comprises 14 BJP members, 12 from the Congress, four from the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and one Independent. The report also adds that in the Akot municipal council in Vidarbha’s Akola district, the BJP has established an ‘Akot Vikas Manch’ (Akot Development Forum), where it has allied with the AIMIM, which won five seats. Saudi-led coalition targets Yemen, Al Jazeera reports
Al Jazeera reports that the leader of Yemen’s Southern Transitional Council (STC), Aidarous al-Zubaidi, has been removed from government for “committing high treason”, the chairman of the internationally recognised body holding executive power said. Al-Zubaidi was due to board a plane to Riyadh on Tuesday evening for talks this morning but did not board the plane and “fled to an unknown location”, the Saudi-led coalition said. 5 held, case registered after clashes following Delhi demolition drive, Hindustan Times
An anti-encroachment drive was carried out by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) near the Faiz-e-Elahi mosque in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan early on Wednesday, Hindustan Times reports. The demolition drive, on the land adjoining the mosque and a nearby graveyard at Turkman Gate, turned violent even as clashes erupted, leading to five police personnel sustaining injuries, officials said. Five persons were detained following the incident, Joint Commissioner of Police (Central Range), Madhur Verma told reporters. Meanwhile, AIMIM President urged the Delhi Waqf Board to approach the Supreme Court and get status quo, the repor adds. Read the full report here.
BBC reports, US discussing options to acquire Greenland

US President Donald Trump has been discussing "a range of options" to acquire Greenland, including use of the military, BBC reports as per the White House. The White House told the BBC that acquiring Greenland - a semi-autonomous region of fellow Nato member Denmark – was a "national security priority". The statement came hours after European leaders issued a joint statement rallying behind Denmark, which has been pushing back against Trump's ambitions for the Arctic island. Trump repeated over the weekend that the US "needed" Greenland for security reasons, the report adds, prompting Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen to warn that any attack by the US would spell the end of Nato.
