The News Minute talks about SC's notice to the Karnataka Govt about the Hijab Case

According to the report by the News Minute, the Supreme Court (SC) sought responses from the Karnataka government on pleas challenging the Karnataka High Court verdict, which refused to lift the ban on hijab in educational institutes of the state. The report also says that a bench of Justice Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia issued a notice to the state on the pleas. The hearing will be held on September 5. Excitement builds as NASA’s moon rocket readies for liftoff, Al Jazeera

 

Al Jazeera’s report says that NASA’s most powerful rocket yet is set to blast off on its debut test flight. It is said that this test will kick off the United States space agency’s mission to take humans back to the moon and eventually to Mars. ThePrint says that India to grant Nepal access to key ports in Gujarat and Odisha

India and Nepal are all set to upgrade their bilateral trade and transit ties under which Kathmandu will be given access to some of the key Indian ports along with enhanced reach for its agricultural produce, reports ThePrint. The move is expected to come into effect from 2023 as both nations plan to upgrade their trade and transit ties. The report also mentions that under the Neighbourhood First Policy India will allow Nepal to export and import goods from India’s strategic ports - Mundra Port in Gujrat and Dhamra Port in Odisha. Read the full report on ThePrint.

 

Reuters: IAEA mission heads to Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant near war frontline

Reuters reports that a team from the United Nations (UNs) nuclear watchdog is headed to Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, as Russia and Ukraine traded accusations of shelling in its area which fueled up fears of a radiation disaster. Zaporizhzhia is a hotspot in a conflict that has settled into war attrition fought mainly in Ukraine’s east and south. Hindustan Times reports that Reliance Jio to launch world's largest 5G services by Diwali

 

Hindustan Times reported that Reliance Industries Limited’s Jio will start rolling out the ‘world’s largest' standalone 5G services for its subscribers in the metro cities in the next two months.
